Printed Fabrics

Sapor Textile manufactures and supplies printed apparel fabrics using two industrial techniques: digital printing and rotary printing, on 100% Co substrates and cotton-polyester blends (CVC, TC, CO/EL). The collection includes ~3,000 designs — stripes, checks, florals, geometric, and abstract patterns. Minimum order: 100 m from warehouse in Rzgów, delivery within 7 business days. Before each digital production run — production sample approved by the client.

What is printed fabric and what is fabric printing called?

Printed fabric is a textile material on whose surface a pattern or color has been applied by dye or pigment application — without weaving colored threads into the fabric structure. In the apparel industry, printing on fabrics is referred to as textile printing or fabric printing. Three main methods are distinguished:
Reactive printing
reactive dyes form permanent chemical bonds with cotton fibers; highest wash resistance (>40°C), deep color saturation. Used exclusively on 100% Co and CVC bases.
Pigment printing
pigment deposited on the fiber surface with the help of a thermosetting binder; possible on all compositions (Co, Pes, blends); wide palette.
Sublimation printing
dedicated exclusively to polyester fabrics; ineffective on 100% Co substrates.

Digital vs. Rotary Printing — what's the difference and which is faster?

Sapor Textile uses both industrial techniques. Digital printing (inkjet, printheads) is faster to prepare: it does not require the creation of cylinders or screen printing forms — serial production starts immediately after coupon approval. Rotary printing (rotary screen printing, cylinders) is economically viable for large runs, ensuring pattern repeat consistency over tens of thousands of meters.
Parameter Digital Printing Rotary Printing
Technology Inkjet Printheads Rotary Screen Cylinders
Resolution Very high, complex details Standard, repeatable pattern
Preparation Short (no forms) Longer (cylinders per color)
Effective MOQ Low–medium High
Color Correction Fast, digital Requires new cylinders
The choice of technique depends on the run size, number of colors, and required lead time. Sapor Textile advises on the optimal method during the quotation stage.

Printed Fabric Bases — Weaves and Compositions

The printed pattern is applied to a finished weave — the final effect (line sharpness, color depth, sheen) is determined by both the printing technique and the type of substrate. Sapor Textile offers printed fabrics on five main weaves:
Weave Composition Grammage Print Effect
Poplin / poplin (1/1) 100% Co, CVC 55/45 100–135 g/m² Smooth, sharp line — shirting pattern
Twill 2/1, 3/1 100% Co, CVC 120–160 g/m² Diagonal texture deepens color
Satin / sateen 100% Co 110–135 g/m² Sheen of the right side enhances contrast
Oxford / Royal Oxford CVC, TC 130–160 g/m² Basket weave textures the print
Dobby 100% Co 110–130 g/m² Woven structure + print = multi-layered effect

All cotton fibers are mercerized before the printing process — Sapor Textile standard for the entire 100% Co collection. Mercerization increases reactive dye absorption, improves color depth and print durability throughout the fabric’s life.

Main compositions of printed substrates:

  • 100% Co — hygroscopic, no static charge, deepest reactive print

  • CVC 55/45 — cotton dominant; better dimensional stability than pure cotton after repeated washing

  • TC / 65 Pes / 35 Co — balanced polyester content, higher wrinkle resistance, lower substrate cost

  • CO/EL 97/3 — 3% elastane creates a stretch base with full printability

Grammages and Apparel Applications

The substrate grammage determines the intended use of the finished printed fabric in final apparel:
90–110 g/m²
women’s summer blouses, short-sleeved shirts, children’s clothing (weave: light poplin, light satin)
110–135 g/m²
formal and office shirts, slim-fit blouses, corporate wear for tenders (twill, dobby, standard oxford)
135–160 g/m²
work shirts, men’s casual wear, seasonal clothing (twill 3/1, oxford)
160–200 g/m²
technical and workwear, women’s suits, technical shirts with company logo print
Sapor Textile printed fabrics are dedicated exclusively to the B2B apparel segment — sewing factories, garment manufacturers, corporate apparel suppliers. These are not bedding, upholstery, or decorative substrates.

Quality Control: Production Coupon and Double Verification

Every order of printed fabrics at Sapor Textile is subject to a double quality control process. For digital series, the standard procedure is for the customer to approve a production coupon before full production begins. The coupon allows for:

  • verification of color reproduction (Pantone/RAL compliance, Delta E)

  • approval of the pattern repeat scale and its positioning on the fabric

  • confirmation of the substrate’s hand and grammage after the printing process

This procedure eliminates color discrepancies and minimizes the risk of complaints. Sapor Textile’s in-house design department, in cooperation with Guldogan (Turkey) and James Fabric (China) factories, develops new designs every season — B2B clients have access to current design proposals before each apparel trade fair.

Technical Finishes on Printed Substrates

Additional finishes applied to the base before or after printing are available upon request:
Easy Care (EC) / Easy to Iron (ETI)
easy maintenance and ironing; standard for office shirts with logo or pattern print
Liquid Ammonia (LA, LA+Precure)
DP 2.5–3.5; cotton as durable as synthetics, print stable after repeated washing at 60°C
Natural Stretch
up to 10% elasticity in 100% Co without elastane; stretch-based print for slim-fit apparel
Peach Effect / Silky Touch
micro-brushing or silk effect on printed fabric; premium effect for blouses with floral or geometric prints

What is a fabric manufacturer?

A fabric manufacturer is a company that commissions the production of textile materials directly from factories or produces them in its own facilities. Sapor Textile cooperates directly with factories in China (James Fabric) and Turkey (Guldogan) — supplying shirting, blouse, and workwear fabrics without commercial intermediaries.
The minimum order quantity for fabrics from Sapor Textile’s warehouse is 100 running meters. Orders for individual dyeing or custom designs (personalized production) require a minimum of 1000 running meters.
Orders from Sapor Textile’s warehouse in Rzgów are fulfilled within 1-2 business days. Individual dyeing or personalized production takes 30–60 business days, depending on the scope of the order. Sample delivery in Poland: 1–2 business days.
Yes. Sapor Textile provides OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificates, manufacturer’s factory ISO documents, and technical fabric passports, often accredited by the Polish Textile Institute, upon request. Certificates are required, among others, in public tenders and orders for workwear.
Yes. Sapor Textile offers the production of fabrics with individual designs — digital and rotary printing (min. 100 linear meters) and yarn-dyed fabrics according to the client’s design (min. 1000 linear meters). The in-house design department develops designs on commission.

Sapor Textile produces and supplies cotton and blended fiber fabrics in six categories: plain fabrics (100% Co, CVC, TC, Co/El), yarn-dyed fabrics (checks, stripes, dobby), digitally and rotary printed fabrics, workwear fabrics (TC 116–245 g/m²), blouse fabrics with elastane, and knits. A total of over 3000 designs and patterns.

Sapor Textile exports fabrics to 20 European countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Greece, Ukraine, and England. Deliveries in Poland are made on the next business day.
