Privacy Policy

1. General Information.

The Service collects information about users and their behavior in the following ways:

  • Through information voluntarily entered into forms.
  • By saving cookie files (so-called “cookies”) on end-user devices.
  • By collecting web server logs.

2. Information in Forms.

The Service collects information voluntarily provided by the user.

The Service may also save information about connection parameters (time stamp, IP address).

Data provided in forms is not shared with third parties other than with the user’s consent.

Data provided in the form may constitute a collection of potential customers, registered by the Service Operator in the register maintained by the General Inspector for Personal Data Protection.

Data provided in the form is processed for the purpose resulting from the function of a specific form, e.g., for processing a service request or for commercial contact.

Data provided in forms may be transferred to entities technically performing certain services – this particularly applies to transferring information about the owner of a registered domain to entities that are internet domain operators (primarily Naukowa i Akademicka Sieć Komputerowa j.b.r – NASK), payment processing services, or other entities with which the Service Operator cooperates in this regard.

3. Information on Cookies.

The Service uses cookies.

Cookies are IT data, specifically text files, which are stored on the Service User’s end device and are intended for using the Service’s websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, their storage time on the end device, and a unique number.

The entity placing cookies on the Service User’s end device and accessing them is the Service operator.

Cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • creating statistics that help understand how Service Users use the websites, which allows for improving their structure and content;
  • maintaining the Service User’s session (after logging in), thanks to which the User does not have to re-enter their login and password on each subpage of the Service;
  • defining the user’s profile to display tailored content in advertising networks, particularly the Google network.

The Service uses two main types of cookies: “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. “Session” cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User’s end device until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser). “Persistent” cookies are stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in the cookie parameters or until they are deleted by the User.

Web browsing software (web browser) usually allows the storage of cookies on the User’s end device by default. Service Users can change these settings. The web browser allows for deleting cookies. It is also possible to automatically block cookies. Detailed information on this topic can be found in the help or documentation of the web browser.

Restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some functionalities available on the Service’s websites.

Cookies placed on the Service User’s end device and used may also be utilized by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Service operator.

We recommend reading the privacy policies of these companies to learn the rules for using cookies in statistics: Google Analytics Privacy Policy

Cookies may be used by advertising networks, particularly the Google network, to display advertisements tailored to how the user uses the Service. For this purpose, they may store information about the user’s navigation path or time spent on a given page.

Regarding information about user preferences collected by the Google advertising network, the user can view and edit information resulting from cookies using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/

4. Server Logs.

Information about certain user behaviors is logged at the server level. This data is used solely for administering the service and to ensure the most efficient operation of the hosting services provided.

Viewed resources are identified by URL addresses. In addition, the following may be recorded:

  • time of inquiry arrival,
  • time of response dispatch,
  • client workstation name – identification performed by the HTTP protocol,
  • information about errors that occurred during HTTP transaction processing,
  • URL address of the page previously visited by the user (referer link) – if the transition to the Service occurred via a link,
  • information about the user’s browser,
  • Information about the IP address.

The above data is not associated with specific individuals browsing the pages.

The above data is used only for server administration purposes.

5. Data Sharing.

Data is shared with external entities only within legally permitted limits.

Data enabling the identification of a natural person is shared only with the consent of that person.

The Operator may be obliged to provide information collected by the Service to authorized bodies based on lawful requests to the extent resulting from the request.

6. Managing Cookies – How to Express and Withdraw Consent in Practice?
