Shirt fabric weaves — 6 types

Sapor Textile offers 6 weaving patterns in shirt and blouse fabrics, from classic to premium.

Poplin (plain weave 1/1)

The most popular shirt weave. Smooth, lightweight texture, ideal as a base material for classic shirts. Available in all fiber compositions: 100% Co, CVC, TC, CO/EL.

Twill (diagonal weave 2/1 or 3/1)

100% cotton with elasticity up to 10% without elastic yarns. The effect is achieved through special additional spinning of cotton yarn. Also available in polyester-cotton blends.

Satin / Sateen

Delicate luster effect on the right side of the shirting fabric. Available in 100% Co, Co/Pes blends, and CO/EL. Popular in both premium men’s shirts and women’s blouses.

Oxford / Royal Oxford

Solid, abrasion-resistant shirting fabric construction. Shirting fabrics in oxford weave are most frequently chosen in institutional tenders and corporate apparel.

Dobby / Herringbone

Jacquard patterns and weaves decorating the right side of the fabric. Herringbone is one of the most popular dobby patterns in recent seasons.

Knit fabric

Shirt material made from knit fabric, ammonia-finished. Exceptional wearing comfort, over a dozen designs. New in the Sapor Textile range.

Soft

Soft hand feel of the material. Applied to many base fabrics.

Easy to Iron (ETI) / Easy Care (EC)
The most popular finish for shirt fabrics with a predominance of cotton (75–97% Co). Reduces susceptibility to wrinkling, facilitates ironing after washing. Applied to CVC and cotton-rich compositions.
Peaching Effect
Mechanical brushing of the shirt fabric surface (“peach skin” effect). Improves tactile qualities, imparts silkiness without the use of chemicals.
Brushing 1-side / 2-side
Flannel fabrics brushed on one or both sides. Excellent for men’s flannel shirts and oversized women’s blouses.
Liquid Ammonia (LA / LA+Precure / Moisture)
Three-variant ammonia system. Cotton with properties similar to synthetic fibers: minimal wrinkling, easy care, maintaining ecological properties. Non-carcinogenic.
Natural Stretch
Shirt fabric elasticity up to 10% without elastane (additional spinning of cotton yarn). Available in 100% Co and Co/Pes blends.
4-way stretch
Elasticity lengthwise and widthwise. For slim fit cuts in shirts and blouses.
Oil Resistant (stain-resistant)
Low liquid absorption. Shirt fabric resistant to stains from wine, sauce, and other liquids. Ideal for event and catering apparel.
Silky Touch / Paper Touch
Finishes imitating silk (soft hand) or paper (characteristic roughness), respectively. For demanding clients seeking non-standard texture.

Women’s and men’s fashion
Classic and casual shirts in 100% Co and CO/EL compositions, Poplin, twill, satin weaves. Easy Care or Liquid Ammonia finishes for easy care.
Corporate apparel
Oxford and royal oxford fabrics in CVC or TC compositions. High durability in use, wide range of corporate colors. Natural Stretch or 4-way stretch for slim fit styles.
Institutional tenders
CVC fabrics with certified tests from the Moratex Institute, TC for workwear. DP 2.5–3.5 parameters confirming wrinkle resistance. Two-ply for tender specification requirements.
Workwear / occupational safety
TC fabrics (35% Co / 65% Pes), weight 116 g/m², shrinkage 0.8%. Excellent durability under intensive use and industrial washing processes.

Natural Stretch
100% cotton with elasticity up to 10% without elastic yarns. The effect is achieved through special additional spinning of cotton yarn. Also available in polyester-cotton blends.
Liquid Ammonia (LA)
Advanced ammonia chemical treatment available in three variants: LA, LA+Precure, Moisture (LA+MC). Cotton after this finish behaves like synthetic fiber (minimal susceptibility to wrinkling) while maintaining natural ecological properties. Non-carcinogenic finish — confirmed by testing.
Two-ply (double-twisted yarns)
Yarns 40/2 to 160/2 used in the most demanding fabrics. Provide higher fabric plasticity and wrinkle resistance; DP index 2.5–3.5 (one of the highest for cotton on the market).
Ammonia-finished jersey knit
Innovative combination of knit comfort with ammonia finish properties. Over a dozen designs available in various colors. Ideal for shirts and oversized blouses.
Moratex Institute certificates
CVC fabric (55% Co / 45% Pes) has certified Moratex testing available upon customer request. Essential for tenders and public procurement.
4-way stretch
Elasticity in both directions: lengthwise (warp) and widthwise (weft). Ideal for slim fit styles, for both women and men.
Custom dyeing
Fabrics available in custom dyeing with a minimum quantity of 1,000 linear meters per color. Possibility to match color to the company’s visual identity system.

Who is a fabric manufacturer?

A fabric manufacturer is a company that commissions the production of textile materials directly to factories or produces them in its own facilities. Sapor Textile cooperates directly with factories in China (James Fabric) and Turkey (Guldogan) — it supplies shirt, blouse, and workwear fabrics without commercial intermediaries.
The minimum order quantity for fabrics from Sapor Textile warehouse is 100 running meters. Orders for individual dyeing or custom pattern (personalized production) require a minimum of 1,000 running meters.
Orders from Sapor Textile warehouse in Rzgów are fulfilled within 1-2 working days. Individual dyeing or personalized production takes 30–60 working days depending on the scope of the order. Sample delivery in Poland: 1–2 working days.
Yes. Sapor Textile provides OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certificates, manufacturer’s factory ISO documents, and technical fabric passports, often accredited by the Polish Textile Institute, upon request. Certificates are required, among others, in public tenders and orders for workwear.
Yes. Sapor Textile offers production of fabrics with individual pattern — digital and rotary printing (min. 100 running meters) and yarn-dyed fabrics according to client design (min. 1,000 running meters). Its own design department develops patterns on commission.

Sapor Textile produces and supplies cotton and blended fiber fabrics in six categories: solid-colored fabrics (100% Co, CVC, TC, Co/El), yarn-dyed fabrics (checks, stripes, dobby), digitally and rotary printed fabrics, workwear fabrics (TC 116–245 g/m²), blouse fabrics with elastane, and knits. In total, over 3,000 designs and patterns.

Sapor Textile exports fabrics to 20 European countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Greece, Ukraine, and England. Deliveries in Poland are fulfilled the next working day.
